Your personal sphere of influence:

As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement/complete the research team around Martin Zuschin and assist in research, teaching and administration.

The focus of our research is on Conservation Paleobiology in the Adriatic Sea, Eastern Mediterranean and Red Sea.

Our team Historical Ecology and Conservation Paleobiology currently consists of 2 post docs, 2 prae docs and administrative colleagues.

We work at the interface of Marine Ecology, Paleontology and Sedimentology.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Conservation Paleobiology and Historical Ecology
  • You hold courses in cooperation with Martin Zuschin within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
This is part of your personality:
  • Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of Paleontology or Marine Biology
  • Basic experience in academic writing
  • Competence in the taxonomy of benthic marine invertebrates (e.g., corals, brachiopods, molluscs).
  • Basic competence in multivariate statistics.
  • Good command of written and spoken English (B2 Level),
  • You should be a team player with high social skills
